To me there are 'tiers' of Stones albums. The top 5 are seldom disagreed on here (okay maybe just a bit) The order might be argued over, but the actual albums on the list probably don't change much from fan to fan here. And SF is in that highest tier.
Like you Steel wls, and probably like everyone else here, I can derive unfathomable joys from the lower tiered albums, but that's just because we are so steeped in the Stones.
That said, there is simply no way ER is in the highest tier.
