Bootlegs used to special, but not anymore

Now that we have the internet you can basically hear (and even posses permanently) any bootleg. A person just has to look long enough or be connected. And this is not hard at all.

But in the pre-internet days, a bootleg was truly a "find" You discovered treasure in some dusty old record store. Or you got it from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. I remember finding a 4-CD set of some stones concert from Atlanta. It wasn't even that great a concert but it was really cool just to find it.

But again, its about the recording itself. And some of these things bring as much joy now as ever
