The song and video are both terrible IMO. I didn't like the video back when I first saw it and hadn't seen it in decades until tonight. Watching it again now, well it still sucks, what a terrible job by the director in making this crap!
When I look back on that time when MJ was trying to go solo and leave the Stones, I figured I hated his solo work for that reason only. Now watching that video today I see that no, the video itself just sucks period, while the song is average at best. Thank goodness the fans rejected his solo stuff in the '80s and he came back to his senses and stayed put in the Stones.
