Paul or John? nsc

Who gave the most, offered more, gave the most to the Beatle sound? I would be inclined to say John as I mostly prefer his stuff, but some of Paul's are my absolute favorites like We Can Work it Out and And I Love Her. I continued to enjoy John's stuff as time went by and even after the Beatles. However, Paul's music began to mean less and less to me. I am out of synch with most people in that I consider songs like The Long and Winding Road and Hey Jude overlong and sentimental (Sgt. Pepper too, Hello, Goodbye, etc.). However, I always loved John's later stuff like Dear Prudence, etc. Also after the Beatles.

So I will go with John, though Paul was great in the early days, later as time went on and he started to write his "granny music".
