I was a fan of LZ and got to see them up close at MSG in their heyday (the same show shown where they made their movie from). I want to say it was in '72 the first time I saw them, but I'm real bad with dates, but I did see them twice and they put on great shows both times, indeed.
U2? Totally overrated, I agree, but, I like the causes they take part in, so I'll give then a pass for that.
The most overrated band I ever heard was Blondie, period, with no seconds. How the hell they got into the Rock Hall with only a few hit records and overall poor album sales I'll never know.... Well I do know, their manager was the only reason why they got in. It's who you know only as to why some bands that have no business getting in, do get in, and while other bands that should have gotten in years ago, never do.
